Privacy Policy

Orbit Slinger is a game made by Justin Martin ("we"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you play.

The short version

We don't collect any personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your progress stays on your device.

What stays on your device

Orbit Slinger saves your level progress, best scores, settings (sound, music, haptics, Sol's tips and voice, and the "Ask a grown-up before sharing or buying" switch) and which of Sol's tips you've seen. It is stored on your iPhone or iPad and is never sent to us. Deleting the app erases it. Settings › Reset Progress erases your scores and Sol's seen tips.

Replays you keep

When you tap ★ KEEP, the replay is stored inside the app on your device, in the Album. You can delete kept replays in the Album. We never receive them.

Saving videos to Photos

When you tap SAVE, the app makes a video of the replay on your device and adds it to your Photos library. The app asks only for permission to add to Photos. It can't see, read or change anything else in your library. You can change this permission at any time in the Settings app. The app doesn't record your screen, camera or microphone.

Sharing

When you tap SHARE, Apple's share sheet opens so you can choose where to send your video. By default the app first asks a simple grown-up question, so young children can't share on their own. A grown-up can turn that check off in the app's Settings. We don't receive shared videos and we don't know where they go.

Game Center

If you sign in to Apple's Game Center, your scores and achievements are sent to Apple so they can appear on leaderboards and in your Game Center profile. Game Center is run by Apple under Apple's privacy policy (apple.com/legal/privacy). We don't receive or store your Game Center information. You can play without Game Center.

Purchases

Orbit Slinger is free to download. Extra campaigns and Orbit Lab are optional in-app purchases, handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. The app checks what you own on your device. We don't receive your payment details, and we don't run any server that sees your purchases.

Children

Orbit Slinger is made to be enjoyed by all ages, and it doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. In-app purchases follow the Family Sharing, Ask to Buy and Screen Time settings you choose on the device.

Crash reports

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports. These don't identify you.

This website

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or trackers, and it doesn't load anything from other companies unless you ask it to. If we ever show a video from a social network here, it stays a plain picture until you click it; only then does that network's player load, under that network's own privacy policy. Our web host keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for a short time to run and protect the site.

Changes

If this policy ever changes (for example, if a future feature needs data), we'll update this page and the date above before the change takes effect.
